The translation was completed in multiple phases starting in 1954 with the Gospel of John; then; in 1958, the New Testament; in 1962 -the Old Testament Volume Two (Job to Malachi); in 1964 - the Old Testament Volume One (Genesis to Esther); in 1965, the Complete Bible was updated; In 1987, an expanded edition was released with further amplifications of older texts and finally, in 2015, the amplifications were added to the Old Testaments and the New Testaments amplifications were revised.
What is Amplification?
The original text is accompanied by a system of punctuation and symbols that are meant to "amplify" or bring clarity to the intended meaning of the text.
